
Impact investments — investments intended to create positive social or environmental impact beyond financial return — constitute a new asset class, according to a report by J.P. Morgan and the Rockefeller Foundation. The new collaborative research piece, "Impact Investments: An Emerging Asset Class," explores how impact investments offers a new alternative for channeling private capital for social benefit. The report also includes the first large-scale data analysis of return expectations and, when available, realized returns for impact investments.

The Socially Responsible Fund will support those projects that being economically viable generate social and environmental benefits such as:
Production and commercialization of organic products
Sustainable agriculture and aquaculture
Clean alternative energy
Waste recycling and use
Eco efficiency
Sustainable tourism
Sustainable use of forestry products and commercial plantations
Alternative and traditional medicine
Natural dyes and beauty products
Rural micro industries of tropical products
Flower production
